The SLITTER production line “Cesoia GUIDA” is a system capable of carrying out the longitudinal sectioning of sheet metal into rolls (coils) to obtain two or more rolls starting from the original coil.
The cutting line can be divided into the following main groups which, with the exception

of the baling machine, follow the order of advancement of the processed material in line.
UNWINDING GROUP: coil housing, coil loading cradle, unwinding reel, ribbon pressing roller
HEAD/CUTTING BRIDLE GROUP: mobile ribbon holding table, guillotine shear on sliding support, protective oil distributor, pinch-roll, ribbon guide, guillotine shear circular blades
TAIL LOOP/BRIDLE GROUP: scrap table, burr roller, pit covering tables, loop pit, dancer roller, separating roller, felt press, pinch-roll, guillotine shears
BLASTING GROUP: pinch-roll, guillotine shears, table inlet, baling device (scrap winder), waste reel container
WINDING REEL GROUP: infeed table, winding reel, separating arm, tail presser, ribbon ejector
CAROUSEL GROUP: unloading carousel




UNWINDING GROUP: constitutes the head of the line and is made up of the components which move and support the coil to be processed.

After the operator of the overhead crane has positioned the coil on the appropriate saddles present in correspondence with the loading pit, the operator controls the translation of the coil until it reaches the unwinding reel. The coil is subsequently lifted until it reaches the reel supports which are inserted into the internal part of the roll. Once the roll has been released from the metal straps, the operator activates the pressure roller to proceed with the entry of the coil head. HEAD-CUTTING BRIDLE ASSEMBLY: constitutes the second part of the line and has the function of correctly conveying the sheet metal to the longitudinal cutting tool, consisting of a double horizontal shaft where the circular blades are mounted. The head of the unwinding band is inserted manually in the bridle group until the advancement system is intercepted.
Special adjustable guides have the purpose of directing the sheet metal into the correct position prior to the cutting operation.




Downstream of the circular blade shear, the scrap is fed towards the collection pit below. A guillotine shear is inserted between the unwinding reel and the head bridle which has the function of cutting off the end of the roll if the required quality parameters are not met. LOOP-TAIL BRIDLE ASSEMBLY: the loop constitutes the intermediate element of the line and allows you to create a disjunction between the head and tail of the system; the bridle allows you to place the ribbon slices in the correct position for wrapping. The ribbon slices, after having crossed the loop formation area (pit equipped with a movable table), reach the bridle passing through the separating roller, equipped with special discs having the function of separating the slices before
