The entry section OF THE USED ROLLING MILL has the task of preparing the incoming roll untied and conditioned with an accumulation quantity suitable to guarantee subsequent processing. After having untied it from the binding straps, the rolls must be compacted on the provided saddles and prepared to be sent to the machine.




The preparation consists of a light calendering which is performed on the pay-off reel through the invitation tables and the dedicated snubber roller.
The centering device is an electronic unit which hydraulically controls the position of the pay-off to keep the axis of the roll centered with the axis of the machine. It is composed of a light source and cameras that follow the tape indicating its position.
A system for detecting the measurement of the external diameter of the roll guarantees the calculation of the existing coils on the pay-off to slow down at the end of the roll.
The leveling machine has the task of straightening the tail of the roll, from the calendering assumed by the unwinding carried out on the pay-off to allow its subsequent introduction onto the right reel of the machine and therefore the subsequent passes.
