Permissible characteristics of the output material The production line called "Skinpass 3" is a system that allows the skinpassing of wound and austenitic stainless carbon steel strips that have undergone recrystallization treatment.
This process has the aim of making the surface compact, flat and shiny, improving the characteristics of the material from the point of view of subsequent surface finishing operations. Executable passes

Multiple line passes can be performed to obtain belts with special mechanical characteristics.
It works with automatic thickness adjustment, this indicates that use in production is preferable where the thickness control feature is important, not suitable for skinpassing of very deep drawing products with IF type base steels. The plant works with cylinders with variable crowning, therefore the characteristics of the products with careful flatness are preferable to the SK2.
It must be requested by indicating the PC code on the programs on the programming side. Given the construction and the maximum speeds obtainable on this line, control appears more limited than on the SK2.

The Skinpass 3 unidirectional rolling line is a machine designed to improve the surface characteristics of the strip after the annealing phase.
It is made up of two reels (unwinder and winder) and a lamination group, defined by the term lamination "cage", equipped with two pairs of skinpassing cylinders (support and work). The coil being unwound from the unwinding reel passes through the rolling unit to be rewound on the winding reel.
The characteristics of the cylinders make it possible to give the strip the desired flatness, roughness and thickness. Rolling consists of passing the cold-rolled and annealed strip between two cylinders which act with light pressure on it in order to lower its yield point so as to give it good mouldability. The Skinpass 3 is made up of the following four fundamental parts:
TAPE LOADING STATION WITH WALKING BEAM;
FEEDING STATION WITH UNWINDING REEL AND WITH DEVICE FOR EVACUATION AND PRESSING OF WASTE;
ROLLING STATION WITH “DOUBLE CAGE” AND BRIDLES;
EVACUATION STATION WITH WINDING REEL AND WITH AUTOMATIC STRAPPING MACHINE.
The composition of the line, divided as indicated above, is described below:
BELTS LOADING STATION WITH WALKING BEAM: the loading station is equipped with a mobile piston system called walking beam which guarantees an accumulation of material in the line feeding phase in such a way as to make the cycle continuous and avoid downtime in production.
The operator picks up the coils from the warehouse with the overhead crane equipped with a clamp hook and places it on the
