Kuper veneer wire splicer model FW 1150 is a machine designed to join veneer sheets using a glue-impregnated wire that is applied with a heated guide. It is an ideal machine for working in the wood sector, in particular for joining thin veneer sheets, guaranteeing high precision and resistance in the joint.
The Kuper FW 1150 has a compact and robust structure, with an arm of 1150 mm. Its design is basic but functional, with a work table that offers enough space to manipulate the veneer sheets. The main body is made of painted metal, and is equipped with a simple to use control panel. The machine has a glue-impregnated thread guide, which passes through the sheets in a zigzag line, and an adjustable continuous feed system.
The Kuper FW 1150 is equipped with a motorized advancement system, which allows a continuously adjustable working speed. Its ability to process sheets with a thickness ranging from 0.4 mm to 3 mm makes it versatile for different veneer applications. The joining wire is applied in a zigzag pattern, giving the joint stability.
Operation with the Kuper FW 1150 is quite intuitive. The veneer sheet is placed on the work table, and once inserted, the machine automatically begins the joining process, applying the bead of heated glue. The wire is placed along the edge of the sheets, joining the parts precisely and evenly.
It is possible to equip the machine with an optional thread guide, as well as with a suction system to remove any residues during processing.
To calculate the optimal feed speed in relation to the thickness of the material, the following formula can be used:
v=Ptv = \frac{P}{t}
Where:
Maintenance of the Kuper FW 1150 includes regular cleaning of the heated guide and checking the feed system to ensure the wire is applied correctly. CE standards guarantee compliance of the machine with current European safety regulations; however, in case of older non-certified models, it is recommended to upgrade the protection system or install modern safety devices such as light barriers.
The Kuper FW 1150 is widely used in the wood industry, especially for processing furniture and veneered panels. Purchasing a used model like this is advantageous, as it is a resistant and durable machine, capable of providing high performance even after many years of use, with the advantage of a significantly lower price than a new one.
