A jib crane is a type of mobile crane that is primarily used to lift and move heavy loads in working environments such as construction sites, industrial parks, ports and mining facilities.
The jib crane is composed of a turret, a telescopic arm, a counterweight and a base with wheels to facilitate movement. The turret can be adjusted in height and angle to adapt to different lifting needs.
The operation of a jib crane occurs via a lifting and handling system controlled by an operator who uses a special control cabin. The crane is capable of lifting loads of up to several tonnes and can be used to move materials both vertically and horizontally.
Jib cranes are commonly used during the construction of tall buildings, during maintenance work or for loading and unloading ships and containers in ports.
It is better to buy a used jib crane because they can often be found at more advantageous prices than a new crane, without compromising performance and safety. Furthermore, the used cranes have already been tested in the field and can be easily overhauled and repaired if necessary.
