The SLITTER production line “Cesoia GUIDA” is a system capable of performing the longitudinal sectioning of metal sheet in coils to obtain two or more rolls starting from the original coil.
The cutting line can be divided into the following main groups which, with the exception

of the baluccato, follow the order of advancement in line of the processed material.
UNWINDING REEL GROUP: coil housing, coil loading cradle, unwinding reel, strip holding roller
HEAD/CUTTING BRIDLE GROUP: movable strip holding table, guillotine shear on sliding support, protective oil dispenser, pinch-roll, strip guide, circular blade shear
TAIL LOOP/BRIDLE GROUP: scrap table, burr press roller, pit cover tables, loop pit, dancer roller, separator roller, felt press, pinch-roll, guillotine shear
BALUCATORE GROUP: pinch-roll, guillotine shear, inlet table, balucatore (scrap winder), scrap coil container
WINDING REEL GROUP: inlet table, winding reel, separator arm, tail press, strip ejector
CAROUSEL GROUP: unloading carousel




UNWINDING REEL GROUP: constitutes The head of the line consists of the components that handle and support the coil to be processed. After the operator of the overhead crane has positioned the coil on the appropriate saddles located near the loading pit, the operator controls the coil's movement until it reaches the unwinding reel. The coil is then lifted until it reaches the reel supports, which are inserted into the inside of the coil. Once the coil is released from the metal straps, the operator activates the pressure roller to feed the coil to the head. HEAD

-CUTTING BRIDLE UNIT: This is the second part of the line and is responsible for correctly conveying the sheet metal to the longitudinal cutting tool, consisting of a double horizontal shaft housing the circular blades. The head of the unwinding strip is manually inserted into the bridle unit until it is intercepted by the feed system.
Special adjustable guides direct the sheet metal to the correct position prior to the cutting operation. Downstream from the circular shear, the scrap is conveyed to the collection pit below. A guillotine shear is inserted between the unwinding reel and the head bridle to cut the tail of the roll if the required quality parameters are not met.




LOOP-TAIL BRIDLE UNIT: The loop is the intermediate element of the line and creates a separation between the head and tail of the system; the bridle positions the strip slices in the correct position for winding. The strip slices, after passing through the loop-forming area (a pit equipped with a moving table), reach the bridle by passing through the separating roller, equipped with special discs that separate the slices before being wound.
