A screw compressor is a type of positive displacement compressor consisting of two or more screw rotors that move within an enclosure. These rotors compress and transfer air or a gas inside the compressor, increasing its pressure.
The screw compressor works like this: air or gas enters the compression chamber through an inlet valve and is trapped between the screw rotors. As the rotors rotate, the volume of air is reduced and the pressure increases, compressing the air or gas. Finally, the compressed air is released through an exhaust valve.
The screw compressor is used in various industrial sectors to power pneumatic machinery and tools, such as in factories, construction sites and laboratories. It is capable of producing a continuous flow of high pressure compressed air efficiently and reliably. Thanks to its robust construction and its ability to work continuously, it is considered one of the most reliable and long-lasting types of compressors.
