Minimum and maximum thickness and for product quality in DC04LC or similar the minimum thickness is 0.60mm.


The Skinpass 2 unidirectional rolling line is a machine designed to improve the surface characteristics of the strip after the annealing phase.
It is made up of two reels (unwinder and winder) and a rolling group, defined by the term rolling "cage", equipped with a pair of skin-passing cylinders (called working cylinders). The coil being unwound from the unwinding reel passes through the rolling unit to be rewound on the winding reel.
The characteristics of the cylinders make it possible to give the strip the desired flatness, roughness and thickness. Rolling consists of passing the cold-rolled and annealed strip between two cylinders which act with light pressure on it in order to lower its yield point so as to give it good mouldability. The Skinpass 2 is made up of the following four fundamental parts:
TAPE LOADING STATION WITH TIPPER
FEEDING STATION WITH UNWINDING REEL AND WITH DEVICE FOR EVACUATION AND PRESSING OF WASTE;
ROLLING STATION WITH “CAGE”;

EVACUATION STATION WITH WINDING REEL AND WITH AUTOMATIC STRAPPING MACHINE. The composition of the line, divided as indicated above, is described below: TAPE LOADING STATION WITH TIPPER: the loading station is equipped with a mobile piston system called a tipper. The operator takes the coils from the warehouse with the overhead crane equipped with a gripper hook and places them on the tipper (the coils are positioned on a vertical axis as the cooking operations carried out in the oven specifically require this position) from which he cuts the strap by means of manual equipment. If the head or tail of the belt is damaged, the operator must cut the damaged part of the belt with a manual electric cutter and empty it into a special container before loading the belt into the machine. The operations must be carried out in the specific areas set up around the machine according to the indications of the operating instructions in force in the factory. Loading area with tipper
FEEDING STATION WITH UNCOILING STATION WITH DEVICE FOR EVACUATION AND PRESSING OF WASTE: the feeding station is equipped with a coil loading cradle, the uncoiling reel complete with expandable mandrel and a mechanical arm capable of rotate around its horizontal axis by 180°.
Once the properly headed tape has been loaded onto the tipper, the operator operates it in such a way as to bring the roll onto its horizontal axis, allowing the loading cradle to lift it and transport it to the spindle. At this point he advances the cradle until the mandrel is inserted into the central hole of the coil and then expands the mandrel after making sure he has centered the coil. Then rotate the mandrel to thread the tape head into the pinch-roll guide. The head of the tape is subsequently pushed by the pinch-roll into the machine body and made to emerge from the opposite side where the operator, after having opened the counter mandrel of the unloaded reel, fixes the head in the appropriate seat of the mandrel itself.
